Posts, rails, and dog-ear pickets for a straight run. Gates subtract from the picket length and add posts. Not a wind or frost-line spec.
Height
Pickets are 5.5″ with a 0.5″ gap (a common dog-ear). Posts = floor(run / spacing) + 1, plus one extra post per gate. Rails are counted per bay. This is a materials takeoff, not an engineered wind load.
